Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and writer. Her mom raised her in the USA and she was subject to several racial stereotypes, which left her feeling like someone who was not wanted. After she participated in a school competition and received the highest praise for her singing at the age of 9 the young girl started to gain confidence. The experience not only helped her gain confidence but changed her goals in the future. In the year 22 she graduated the Julliard School of New York. When she was 23, she made her debut at the Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. The most notable success of her career came in the role of The Lady of The Lake in Spamalot's first Broadway production. Not only did she receive the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by the critics. In 2007, she was a cast member in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. She is also a known performer and has produced an extended show. Also, she's an activist and works hard to protect LGBT rights.
